You are no longer the medical student. You are eighteen months into residency, you have watched two cohorts of seniors go through this, and the decision in front of you is narrower and weightier than the one you made coming in. The fellowship match has its own rhythm, its own politics, and a different set of unspoken rules. This section is written for you, not for the pre-med.

Research-heavy fellowships and academic careers

Internal Medicine fellowships

Surgical fellowships

Radiology fellowships

Neuroradiology is the largest. Body, MSK, breast, peds, IR-related lanes round out the picture.

Pathology fellowships

Dermatopathology, hematopathology, cytopathology, neuropathology, GI/liver, breast, renal, forensic.

Neurology and psychiatry fellowships
